Kelvedon & Feering Health Centre

The Iceberg of General Practice

Our team has been overwhelmed by the support we have received from our patients, their families, and carers. Most of our patients have been very understanding of the impact on services currently with the high demand for GP appointments, and that General Practice is still doing its best in these challenging times.

Unfortunately, a very small minority have not been so understanding, and whilst we are aware of and appreciate that patients may be frustrated with aspects of the healthcare system at present, sadly we have also experienced a stark increase in instances of verbal abuse and intimidation towards our staff.

The Kelvedon & Feering Health Centre is a friendly and approachable practice. Whilst things are improving, there is still a high demand for services, which can make it difficult at times to access appointments. Face to face appointments is available for anyone who wants or needs one, but wherever communication needs allow it, patients can receive a telephone call with a clinician first. This allows us to assess the need and suitability for a face-to-face appointment, and ensure arrangements are in place to see you in a safe manner. We will continue to adjust our appointment system to meet the needs of our patients as the situation continues to evolve. For non- urgent issues please follow the link to our e-consult page.

Once again, we would like to thank our patients for their continued kindness and understanding as we continue to tackle the enormous health challenges put forth by the increase of demand and capacity.
