We understand that you may want to contact your GP directly to discuss a medical concern or ask a question. However, GPs are unable to respond to messages or letters from patients outside of a scheduled appointment.
If you need to speak with your GP, please book an appointment.
This ensures your concerns are properly assessed and recorded in a timely and safe manner.
Why is this the case?
GPs have very limited time and must prioritise clinical care through booked appointments. Direct messages or letters can’t be reviewed or responded to individually, and important issues may be missed.
If you’re unsure whether you need an appointment, our reception team or online triage system can help guide you.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep the service safe and effective for everyone.
