How to make an appointment

Total Triage– The new way to request an appointment or to send an admin query to the team at 8am. We are still here for advice, navigating and signposting.

If the Total triage is full please call NHS 111 for advice.

Please call the surgery to book Nurse or Health Care Assistant appointments after 8.30am.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with. We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor,  nurse or local pharmacist who can now deal with minor illness.

Please note that reception staff are trained as Care Navigators, which mean that they are able to support and signpost patients to the right clinician and community services. In order to assist you they may have to ask a few questions about the kind of appointment you may need.

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US IN CASES OF MEDICAL EMERGENCIES OR SERIOUS INJURY – ALWAYS CALL 999

If you are unsure if your case constitutes a medical emergency call NHS 111 or see the NHS Website here

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

Home Visits

Patients requiring home visits must be housebound because of illness or disability. Visiting is very time consuming so please attend the practice if you are physically able to.

If you require a visit you must call on the day before 12pm to enable the doctor to plan the calls. Visits are not pre-bookable.

When requesting your visit please give the staff as much information as possible. Please be aware that the doctor will decide if the visit is necessary and may choose to telephone you first.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

  • Tell us online as soon as possible if you need to cancel an appointment, or call and leave a message to the surgery by selecting option 5.

If you need help when we are closed

If the situation is an emergency or life threatening, dial 999 and ask for an ambulance.

For urgent medical advice between 6.30pm and 8.30am weekdays, or during weekends and Bank Holidays, call NHS 111 or go to the 111.nhs.uk website.
