Most of our musculoskeletal (MSK) services allow self-referral for NHS patients.
MSK services offer specialist assessment, advice, and treatment for things like joint pain, muscle problems and some nerve conditions.
Self-referral means that you can get access to assessment and treatment without seeing a doctor or another health professional first.
Self-referral is available for patients aged 16 years and over across mid and south Essex with routine MSK conditions eg MSK physiotherapy – Tier 1 service.
