If you’re looking for help with your health and wellbeing, you don’t always need to see a doctor.
The Essex Wellbeing Service offers free, confidential support to help you improve your physical and mental health. You can refer yourself directly — no GP appointment needed.
What Can Essex Wellbeing Service Help With
- Stopping Smoking
One-to-one coaching and help to quit, including nicotine replacement options. - Losing Weight
Practical advice and group or one-to-one support to help you reach a healthy weight. - Managing Stress, Anxiety or Low Mood
Access to emotional wellbeing services, including talking therapies and guided self-help. - Reducing Loneliness or Social Isolation
Community-based support to help you connect with local activities and services. - Family & Parenting Support
Help for parents and carers, including healthy lifestyle advice and family wellbeing resources. - Workplace & Lifestyle Health
Health checks and advice for those in work or returning to work.

Anyone living or working in Essex (excluding Southend and Thurrock). All ages welcome.
